The card should be kept in the parent's wallet to be readily available if the card is ever needed. Remember, the card is only the vehicle to the real advantage to having a KID ID card. The secure electronic database gets the information to the authorities anywhere the internet can be accessed. Additional cards are recommended for both parents and even grandparents.
