OUR LAB

We are very proud of our two state-of-the-art orthodontic laboratories. We are quite fortunate to have a full service laboratory at both office locations. Most orthodontic practices across the country do not have in-house labs and have to send their work out.

Appliances that are used to treat our patients are made in house, allowing turn around time to be extremely fast and oftentimes the same day. Appliances that are used in our practice are for: 1) expansion to correct patients with narrow arches, 2) the Herbst appliance which encourages lower jaw growth and development and 3) all varieties of retainers, splints, mouthguards, and flippers. Additionally, diagnostic setups and wax-ups are able to be performed that demonstrate anticipated results.

When a patient has a diagnosis involving their temporomandibular joints, they are usually treated with dynamic splint therapy. The splint is designed by Dr. Feldman after an MRI evaluation (if indicated) and made by our laboratory technician, Jackie Winters. Dr. Feldman oftentimes designs an appliance for very specific treatment challenges.

The care and comfort of our patients is always a priority for us. There are many other benefits to having an on-site laboratory. One great benefit is having the retainers ready the same day braces are removed. Another benefit is being able to make any necessary repairs to appliances while the patient has a short wait. These benefits save the patient time (and from coming back). We always try to be considerate of our patients time as we know that everyones time is quite valuable.
